Optika OT-M15S Centrifuge – high-performance microcentrifuge for 24 x 1.5 / 2.0 ml tubes
The Optika OT-M15S is a compact, ventilated microcentrifuge for routine applications in molecular biology. It is suitable for laboratories requiring a high-performance benchtop centrifuge for microtubes, whilst prioritising ease of use, high speed and safe operation.
With a maximum speed of 15,000 rpm and a maximum relative centrifugal acceleration of 21,206 x g, the OT-M15S delivers impressive performance for demanding centrifugation steps. The supplied A2.0-MP-24 fixed-angle rotor accommodates 24 tubes of 1.5 / 2.0 ml capacity, making it ideal for typical laboratory applications involving microtubes.
The automatic RPM/RCF conversion simplifies the setting of the appropriate run parameters. For flexible workflows, pulse mode, time-controlled runs of less than 100 minutes and continuous operation are available. The run time can be counted either from the start or only once the set speed has been reached.
Once a run is complete, the lid opens automatically. This signals the end of the process and simultaneously prevents the samples from overheating unnecessarily. A separate pulse button enables short, rapid centrifugations. The lid drop protection design facilitates convenient and safe loading and unloading of samples.
To ensure safe operation, the Optika OT-M15S is equipped with a safety lid lock and an imbalance shut-off function. In addition, the microcentrifuge features 9 acceleration and 10 deceleration ramps, 10 programme memory slots and rotor recognition for the dedicated rotor. With a noise level of < 60 dB, the OT-M15S is well suited for use directly at the laboratory workstation.
