The Discovery Artisan 1024 is a portable microscope with a 5-megapixel digital camera. The instrument can be powered by a power pack or rechargeable battery, making it convenient to take anywhere. Very practical if, for example, you are visiting a customer or want to examine something interesting on site. Also very useful for presentations and group observations, as external devices (e.g. a large screen) can also be connected. The capabilities of the instrument are also impressive in specialised applications: jewellers, geologists, coin collectors, repair specialists and appraisers can all use the instrument equally well.
The microscope is equipped with a 10 cm (4 inch) colour LCD screen that can also be rotated. The microscope image is displayed on the screen in real time. The microscope can capture images and videos in high resolution. To record, you need a memory card, which can be purchased separately. The device works with microSD cards with a capacity of up to 32 GB. If required, you can also connect the microscope to external display devices such as a monitor, television or computer. All necessary connection cables are included in the set. Do not forget to install the supplied software before connecting the microscope to the computer. The software allows you to use additional functions, such as measuring the length and angle of objects.
The microscope is equipped with an LED lighting system with adjustable brightness. The LEDs are arranged around the objective, so all observations are made in reflected light. A special polarisation filter counteracts unwanted reflections, for example when viewing shiny objects. The magnification can be continuously adjusted from 10x to 300x, and with the switchable digital zoom, magnifications of up to 1200x are possible.
The set also includes a small tripod, which often proves very useful during observation. A practical bag for transport and storage is also included.
Please note: To ensure that the software works correctly, do not start the installed application until the microscope is connected to a PC and ready for use.
