The microscope is small and flexible. Axio Lab.A1 is extremely robust, so it can be used anywhere. All important controls are ergonomically arranged and easy to operate. With the polarisation stand, you can view anisotropic structures such as crystals and fibres.

• With five objective positions, the Axio Lab.A1 has enough space for your important lenses. This ensures fast sample throughput and ease of use. You can choose between brightfield, bright and darkfield lenses as well as DIC or POL lenses.
• Thanks to the 4-position reflector turret, you can easily switch between different contrast methods.
• The C-DIC contrast method converts even the smallest changes in surface morphology into differences in brightness, enabling you to achieve excellent imaging results even with low-contrast samples.
• Axio Lab.A1 for conoscopy is particularly easy to use: the analyser and Bertrand lens are integrated into the instrument and logically coupled with each other. When the Bertrand lens is swivelled into the beam path, the mechanical logical coupling ensures that the analyser also swivels into the operating position.
• Tools and cables can be stored behind a flap on the rear of the Axio Lab.A

• Axio Lab.A1 is the compact microscope for examining microstructures, determining grain size, structure, distribution and phases, and for quick on-site analyses.
• You can analyse the microstructure of metals and gather information about mechanisms that can lead to material defects, such as fatigue, corrosion, creep, stress cracks and fractures.
• Polarisation contrast allows you to characterise hair, soil samples and fibres for forensic investigations. You can analyse colour particles using bright field, fluorescence and polarisation microscopy.
• As a geologist, you examine rock and mineral samples, for example for petroleum production.
